ABOUT

I am a well and highly organized, self-motivated, verbally adept (multilingual) with excellent communicating, planning, executing and learning skills; Strong relationship ethic coupled with a good understanding of Leadership and team work as it relates to trends and organizational targeting. In me I bring you a person who can work with all different kinds of people and age groups, someone who is passionate about youth and community development, someone who can take a team out of a state of dull unevenness into new realms of performance. A person who energise new ideas, provide new approaches and formulate new ways of doing things. Someone who can provide right connections from the outside world to help with improving work done.  

 

Currently I play a role as the Communications Manager at Eplazini Brand Communication where I am responsible for the effective delivery of information and corporate communications to Eplazini staff. The role is wide ranging, encompassing the timely co-ordination of employee communication through a range of channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency. My responsibilities are to deliver timely and effective communications throughout the agency. This involves liaison with Directors and developing and delivering a simple coordinated process in order to provide effective, joined up communications, Building on existing networks and developing where required internal communications contacts throughout the company, Ensuring contacts have the appropriate skills and support from the central team to deliver and share communications, plus media liaise and social media coordinator for current clients.  Developing regular feedback channels to promote cross communication within Eplazini and to ensure that messages are being delivered in a consistent and timely manner, Monitoring the results of the feedback to ensure continuous improvement in communications, Developing knowledge and understanding of internal communication tools and techniques and how these can best be used within Eplazini, Sharing best practice with other colleagues, particularly with other partners, sponsors, Maintaining links with partners and sponsors contacts to ensure consistency of messages across the Group, as well as developing further contacts across Government, Finding ways in the development and delivery of an evolving internal and external communications strategy.

 I also was a Ignition Program Coordination Intern at enke: Make Your Mark-2014 The program works with exceptional young people from ages (18-30), connecting to diverse, active network, equipping participants with skills and experience to increase employability and inspiring entrepreneurial thinking in young people entering the work place.

 

I also worked as a site leader(Lead Facilitator and Trainer )  at City Year leading the team at Central Western Jabavu  in Tesbisangno primary school my kpa’s as a site leader are responsible for one schools, program facilitation in training, life skills, Youth empowerment and education in social and public health, extended program implementation, facilitate life skills to learners and service leaders, play supportive role to educators, write reports on monthly bases, liaise with other stake holders, organize or/participate in community events. And also part an N.G.O that is call Activate! Leadership and public innovation, where we enhance our leadership skills in the context of project management, LEMON leadership and find ways to better the communities we live in by finding innovative ideas. I also gained work experience at lovelife as a groundbreaker (program manager and Lead Facilitator) and my key performing areas where: facilitation and peer education, event co-ordination, outreach and community mobilization, public speaking. In my program I managed  the administration and external relation with community stakeholders, Submit monthly report, leaded a team and created actives for Field recording, Scripting (writing for radio), Presenting, Producing (digital audio editing) and I also was a basic radio trainer. I was service leader servicing at Lawley primary in 2011 as a curriculum coordinator in which I compile a list of resources and ensure that the City Year culture and values are incorporated. And I was part of the City Year youth council where our primarily responsibility was planning and executing the Friday programme and also was a read-a-thon representative, my job along with other was to raise awareness around the importance of literacy. Trainings I gain where basic computer skills at Sci-bono which I forwarded the train by teaching myself the technical side, other trainings where basic E.M.S, Fundamentals of Project Management, Financial Literacy. I was a producer at Rhythm100 Radio in charge of managing external relation with poetry houses, finding guests for the show, creating new audio promotion, managing the communication (updating social media, email and smsing) and preparing schedules of events to promote the show and the radio station. and currently I form part of the Alumni Association has a council member in charge of the communications department where my key performing areas are to run the newsletter, insource needed empowering information and communicate with both service leaders and alumni.  

 

I feel with the skills I bring to the company I will better help the organization to reach its target and uphold the spirit of idealism.We all have our own purpose in life and my purpose is to change the mind set of all youth who think that difficulties from the past, cultural codes and social beliefs shape their future.
